Josh who?
Speaking of Josh, you know what I love about this moment? Hell, all of season 3 since he was introduced? You never once believed that they had a future. You knew who was truly in Beckett’s heart. I stand by my beliefs in that she cared about Josh, but she wasn’t in love with him. And that was evident in the way she continually looked at Castle, flirted with Castle, etc. And I love this show for this. A lot of shows when they introduce a character that puts a wedge between the main couple, they don’t make it clear how the other person feels or if they do show it, they actually honestly and truly love them. You wonder, what’s the point of the couple you introduced me to to begin with if they’re just going to love someone else while madly in love with another? Not this show. This show was like, “Yeah, Beckett’s with Josh, and she likes him, but this is about protecting herself after Castle leaving with his ex-wife… not about finding another love. She loves him and only him.”
Okay, babbling, but it popped into my head and I wanted to post that.
Did you crawl into my brain? I’ve been thinking this for ages. And that’s why this show has such happy fans. There’s ONE ship. ONE couple. ONE romance. Even though both Castle and Beckett date other people, you never once doubt who they’re really in love with. Not even for one second. There are no crappy triangles that taint the enjoyment like on Dawson’s Creek, Vampire Diaries, Friends, Smallville, Gossip Girl and so on. Castle just got the whole shipping thing right from day 1 and it only gets better.
